Spring Mantle

Despite the fact that we have not been snowmobiling ONCE this year,
I am actually so excited for spring!
I've noticed new sprouts on trees and plants, new green grass growing around the construction zone in my backyard, and my new puppy just wants to lay outside in the sun!

Although I'm not decorating a bunch at my house right now due to my extra-curricular studio activities, I did decorate for one of my favorite clients last week and brought spring in with a Bang! Legacy Retirement in South Jordan has been a client of mine for about 5 years now.
I get to go there and change their mantle and large bouquet in their grand salon for the seasons.
The clients are great and I often comment on how much I love my job after spending a day there. How often does someone get to go to work and have everyone tell them
"Thank you! Thank you!" or "How lovely!"
Its not often that we get to feel so appreciated, so every couple of months I have the privilege of getting paid to do something I love and have multiple compliments while doing it...
doesn't get any better than that!!

So just for fun I thought I'd share a little spring with you today.
Hope it brighten's your day like it did mine to do it!

Here's a step by step progression..
Starting with my base of greenery...
Then adding a bit of lighter spring colored greenery...

Then comes the smallest flowers to create the flow....

Then comes the fun stuff :)

And then I'm off to spruce up the bouquet in the grand parlor...

It's really hard to get a good picture of this one, with the widows behind and all.
I even closed the blinds!
Guess I should learn to be a better photographer.
I'll have to do that in my free time :)

Happy Spring!
